With the new LOX24 SMS plugin for Outlook, SMS can now be sent using the current Outlook versions 2010, 2013 and 2016.
The new plugin is an addition to the Outlook Mobile Service, which unfortunately has so far only been compatible with Outlook 2007, 2010, and SharePoint 2013. The new plugin is easy to install and remains up-to-date thanks to automatic updates.
The interface of the plugin has been designed in line with the design of Outlook 2016, with a clear and simple layout. The functions for accessing the address book, signature, and time-shifted SMS are easy to access. In contrast to the Outlook Mobile Service, in the settings of the plugin you only enter your LOX24 login details and select the desired sender identification. By specifying the country code, it is also possible for non-German customers to send SMS in the national format, e.g. for Swiss SMS to a 0771234567 number without the country code.
Of course, access to the Outlook address book is also possible, and SMS can also be sent to new and existing Outlook contact groups. Access is either possible in the SMS window or by right-clicking in the address book.
