Inbound number or replies to Economy SMS?

 

You don't need your own phone number to send SMS via LOX24. Inbound numbers are an optional add-on service with a monthly base fee per number. If you only expect occasional replies in Germany or Switzerland, the free replies to Economy SMS are enough. For anything beyond that, you need your own number.

Inbound numbers are available in 18 countries, from €29 per month net per number. Incoming SMS are free, and there is no setup fee. In 11 countries, the number is 2-way capable: it also appears as the sender of your SMS, and recipients reply directly to it. In the other countries, you can receive SMS on the number, but it cannot be used as a sender there.

Countries without 2-way: include the number in the message text

In Austria, Belgium, France, Hungary, the USA, Canada, and Australia, a phone number may not appear as the sender. In these countries, recipients can't reply directly to your SMS. Include your inbound number in the message text instead, for example: "Reply to +43 …". The SMS will then arrive at your number as usual.
