Why is sending SMS messages via mobile phones so easy and sometimes so difficult via a computer? Microsoft must have asked itself this question and therefore equipped Outlook 2007 with the Outlook Mobile Service. The goal of this service is to enable users to send and receive emails using their mobile devices. Outlook SMS to send an SMS with Outlook should work just like sending an email, with full access to the address book and the other well-known features of Outlook.
That’s the theory, but unfortunately the choice of providers is very limited. There were some companies in the UK and the USA, but no single provider in Germany, for example.
