Why is sending SMS messages via mobile phones so easy and sometimes so difficult via a computer? Microsoft must have asked itself this question and therefore equipped Outlook 2007 with the Outlook Mobile Service. The goal of this service is to enable users to send and receive emails using their mobile devices. Outlook SMS to send an SMS with Outlook should work just like sending an email, with full access to the address book and the other well-known features of Outlook.

That’s the theory, but unfortunately the choice of providers is very limited. There were some companies in the UK and the USA, but no single provider in Germany, for example. That has now changed, because with LOX24, a German company is finally offering the Outlook Mobile Service. Our business customers can use their account in „Settings“ at any time to Outlook Mobile Service Activate. It is even possible to set up different profiles, e.g. one for each employee. With LOX24, companies can enable their employees to send SMS messages using a software environment that is known to each employee.

Compared to previously available software solutions, however, no plug-in needs to be installed or any complicated Mail2SMS syntax needs to be explained to the employees. The advantage of the plug-in-free solution is that there is no additional risk associated with integrating third-party software. At the same time, each employee can also specify their own sender identifier; this way, responses are forwarded to the mobile phone as usual, which is an interesting solution especially for field workers.

And finally, LOX24 is by far one of the Cheapest Outlook SMS Providers in Germany and worldwide. Compare and try our Outlook Mobile service for yourself! :)
